The City of Vancouver is accepting applications for the final round of its 2026 Community and Neighborhood Grants Program. According to reporting by Clark County Today, there are 19 microgrants available, each providing up to $500 for local projects. The deadline to apply through the city’s website is 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 18, 2026.

This program allocates municipal funds to support neighborhood-level initiatives that address local needs or align with city priorities such as community safety, climate action, and equity. All awarded funds must be spent within the 2026 calendar year. The grants are available to neighborhood associations, youth organizations, and local nonprofits.

Official records from the City of Vancouver indicate a period of high interest in the program since it reopened in 2023. In April 2026, the city awarded 42 grants totaling more than $80,000, marking the highest number of awards in a single review cycle. An additional 19 grants were awarded in June 2026 to support cultural events and neighborhood gatherings.

Applications are evaluated based on their ability to solve local problems, build partnerships, and empower residents to make a hands-on difference in their communities. Neighborhood Program Coordinator Koko Olszewski stated that the program is intended to strengthen the city through community empowerment and collaboration, noting that the diverse range of applications received so far reflects the number of groups working to build community within Vancouver.
