According to a press release from the City of Longview, eight students from Atomi University in Japan met with members of the Longview City Council and city leadership last week as part of the LCC–Atomi English and American Culture Program. The program, organized in collaboration with Lower Columbia College, offers visiting students an opportunity to learn about local government, community life, and regional culture. During their visit, the students observed civic operations and engaged in conversations with city officials about Longview’s history, governance, and community priorities.
