If you have information that materially affects the larger Lower Columbia region, you can submit it here.

Before you do, please read this carefully.

What This Form Is For

This form exists for:

• Documented information about local government actions, policy decisions, or public spending
• Evidence of misconduct, corruption, or abuse of authority
• Housing, labor, environmental, or economic issues affecting the community
• Public safety concerns grounded in verifiable facts
• Situations where people are afraid to go on record but the information is real and important

We are a community‑driven newsroom. Many of our stories begin with tips. But a tip is the beginning of a reporting process — not the end of one.

What This Form Is Not For

This is not:

• A gossip submission box
• A space to air personal grievances
• A place to settle social disputes
• A rumor mill
• An anonymous political attack tool

We do not publish unverified allegations. We do not platform personal vendettas. We do not run smear campaigns for anyone.

If the issue is a neighbor dispute, a personality conflict, or something that does not materially affect the broader public, it is unlikely to be covered.

Standards Matter

Every submission is reviewed. Many are declined.

Information that moves forward typically includes:

• Dates, locations, and names
• Documentation (screenshots, public records, emails, filings)
• Clear explanation of why this matters to the public
• Context beyond a single emotional reaction

The more specific you are, the more seriously we can evaluate the tip.

Anonymity and Safety

You may submit information anonymously.

In a small region, speaking up carries risk. We understand that. Anonymity protects contributors — but it does not eliminate verification.

If we pursue your tip, we may:

• Cross‑check it against public records
• Seek additional sources
• Contact relevant institutions for response
• Decline to publish if it cannot be verified

Submitting a tip does not guarantee publication.

Public Impact Is the Standard

We focus on stories that affect the civic, economic, or constitutional health of the region.

That includes how power is exercised.
How public money is spent.
How decisions are made.
Who benefits.
Who bears the cost.

It does not include private drama.
