A section of the alley behind 28th Avenue in Longview’s St. Helens neighborhood has been closed for construction. The closure, which began today, affects the area behind 651 28th Avenue near Colorado Street, where crews are replacing aging concrete panels.

According to Classic Hits 100.7 KLOG, the project is expected to last through next Monday, with work scheduled to conclude around 4 p.m. City maintenance crews are advising nearby residents and drivers to plan alternate routes and observe posted detours while repairs are underway.

The improvements are part of ongoing concrete maintenance activities intended to improve safety and access within Longview neighborhoods.
