The Clark County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 27-year-old man Saturday following a shooting in a neighborhood near the 8000 block of NE 142nd Avenue. The incident, which occurred on Aug. 8, reportedly stemmed from a dispute regarding juveniles riding dirt bikes on the street.

According to reporting by Clark County Today, deputies were dispatched to the scene at approximately 6:47 p.m. Upon arrival, they located a victim suffering from a grazing wound. The initial investigation by the Sheriff’s Office suggests that a single bullet was fired during the altercation.

Authorities identified Jacob Orr as the suspect in the shooting. Orr was detained during a traffic stop as the vehicle he was traveling in attempted to leave the neighborhood. At the time of his arrest, deputies recovered a .380-caliber pistol from Orr, and a shell casing of the same caliber was found at the scene of the dispute.

Orr was booked into the Clark County Jail on several charges:

  • First-degree assault
  • Felony harassment
  • Reckless endangerment

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office stated that the investigation into the incident remains active and no further details are currently available.
