The city of Vancouver is accepting applications for the final round of its 2026 Community and Neighborhood Grants Program, offering 19 microgrants of up to $500 each. According to official city records, the deadline for submissions is 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 18, 2026, and all awarded funds must be spent within the 2026 calendar year.

The program is open to neighborhood associations, nonprofits, and youth organizations. According to reporting by Clark County Today, the city is experiencing a period of high interest in the program, which reopened in 2023. In April 2026, the city awarded 42 grants totaling more than $80,000, marking the highest number of awards in a single review cycle since the program resumed. An additional 19 grants were awarded in June 2026 to support cultural events and neighborhood gatherings.

Applications are evaluated based on four primary criteria: meeting a local need, supporting city goals such as safety and equity, bringing neighbors together, and empowering residents to make a hands-on difference. Neighborhood Program Coordinator Koko Olszewski stated that the program is intended to strengthen the city through community empowerment and collaboration.

The microgrants are designed to fill gaps in community services or solve local problems at the neighborhood level. Interested groups must apply through the city’s dedicated grant program webpage. The current round represents the final opportunity for organizations to secure these specific funds for use during the 2026 budget cycle.
