A Ridgefield man escaped injury on Thursday evening after an SUV fell from a flatbed trailer and struck his vehicle on Interstate 5 near Castle Rock.
According to reporting by KLOG, the incident occurred near the Exit 48 on-ramp. Terra Poe, 39, of Napavine, was driving a truck hauling an Outlander SUV when the vehicle came off the flatbed. The SUV careened into the median before striking a vehicle driven by 37-year-old Tim Hall of Ridgefield.
While both vehicles were totaled in the collision, both Hall and Poe were uninjured. Law enforcement cited Poe for speeding and for having an unsecured load. The incident occurred just before 6:15 pm.
The collision is one of several recent incidents on the regional stretch of Interstate 5. This publication previously reported on August 10, 2026, that a Longview man was charged following a Wednesday night crash near Napavine that injured six children.
